Train is faster than a car by Mikael Uddström-Lila (Vantaa, Finland)
This video is showing a train going 220 km per hour, filmed from a train driver’s perspective. It demonstrated that public transport such as a train is a much faster and better way to travel than by ordinary car with has a speed limit of only 120 km per hour! On the video you can see the train travels faster than the traffic on the highway as it goes past them on the track. It is a Pendolino train SM3.

Try it if you dare! by Corina, Buhus (Lasi, Romania)
Keep fit and be at height. It is strange to see, in the XXI century, such bikes ( old model), but ” Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.” We all now that riding through the city it’s healthful, alleviates congestion, but in the same way is an active strategy for PT, and many countries use it, no more crowded streets in the morning.

TRAIN-SITIONS by Mohamad Hadi Ali (Singapore, Singapore)
The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) network in Singapore was designed to combat congestion and it is the Government’s vision to make the rail network the backbone of Singapore’s public transport system. Being efficient, comfortable and affordable, it is no surprise that most commuters choose to travel by train. With the green surrounding, it just adds to the experience!

City Pulse by Alanna Yee (Edmonton, Canada)
I love Tokyo’s subway system! One can get virtually anywhere in a quick, efficient manner and without ever needing to take a private vehicle. The reliable, easily accessible public transportation system plays a key part in maintaining the beat of the city; Tokyo wouldn’t function the same without it!

So Long, Traffic! by Lusia Nini Purwajati (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Transjakarta is the Bus Rapid Transit System in Jakarta that was adapted form TransMilenio BRT in Bogota. Transjakarta uses special lane, bring more people, faster, cheaper, and more efficient compares to those private vehicles that stuck in traffic as seen in Mangga Dua Area, North Jakarta.

Four busses and no sign of a car in the area! by Oana Mondan (Onesti, Romania)
The road captured only with busses circulating on it seems to bring ahead a further perspective of the idea that PT alleviates congestion.

Small vs Big, Private vs Public, Blue vs Red by Oana Mondan (Onesti, Romania)
This picture shows a contrast of the maximum: Maximum 5 or maximum 19 persons for the same size.. I would definitely choose the red one! Choosing the bus instead of the car definitely alleviates congestion !

I choose to go public! by Farihah Zainal (Singapore, Singapore)
A motorbike can only transport two persons, while a car carries five. A van may be more spacious than a car, but it cannot compete with a public bus that can carry up to 40 people in comfort. Do you know that a car consumes 9 times the energy used by a bus and 12 times that used by a train? If everyone travels by public transport, we can all get to our destinations faster, safer and cheaper. Plus we can help save the Earth and leave less carbon footprints each time we move from place to place.

Double decker is better by Roxana Humelnicu (Lasi, Romania)
When talking about buses, I believe the double deckers are much more efficient than any other type of bus. The more people on the bus, the less in the cars or on the streets :)

A Revolution in Traditional Public Transport by Wai Pan Tam (Hong Kong, China)
Public transport is not only about rail, bus and so on. Extensive networks of underground escalators connecting two of the railway stations become a new form of public transport in the tourism area of Hong Kong. It covers an area of around 50,000 square metres with the longest distance covered equivalent to an over-ground distance of about 400 metres. This convenient and comfortable environment attracts pedestrians to travel underground and “alleviates congestions” on the roads. Local pedestrians and tourists can now travel conveniently. It hence attracts tourists to visit this area owing to the convenient connections among the tourist spots.

Trams and tram lines - the blood and arteries of a city by Kinga Klara Darida (Arad, Romania)
Cars and trams are ubiquitous in Arad, a city lying in the western part of Romania. As one can see, even with trams, there is a lot of traffic, so I don’t even want to imagine what it would be like without them! Trams and tram lines in the city truly act as the blood and arteries in a human body - bringing people from here to there, just like blood cells “travel” in our veins, alleviating congestion and enhancing the urban experience.
